Like headgear mentioned, there's been words at dealerships, but not online, about 2016 models appearing, sporting nothing new but maybe increased price tags.

His dealer says they have half a dozen sitting, but no notable updates.

My closest dealer says that the October shipment would be carrying 2016s. He also said they'd be costing more - though I don't know if that was a pressure tactic to get my deposit money faster.

However, they are showing up on some dealer websites and cycletrader. This Houston dealer has a "2016" classic listed, for $1k more than the 2015 MSRP.

Hopefully little fixes like the fuel hoses and fueling issues have been rectified in production - something to justify the increased price tag.

The one I picked up a couple weeks ago was a 2016.
Dealer told be there was absolutely no difference between '15 and '16.
I second that. Got a 2016 couple weeks ago also. No difference.
Did you guys get hit with a price hike on the bikes themselves?

I wound up going with a dealership further away that will take delivery "sooner" than my closest. They've sent me a firm quote already and there's no raised price - in fact they quoted me the red Icon price for the yellow. Still, I've seen several mentions of prices going up.

My dealer said any bike produced after a certain date in July must be a 2016. I ordered June 6 for "August" delivery (still waiting) and he said it would likely be a 2016, but zero changes to the bike. I would bet some types of quality issues have addressed at the factory as customer reports were gathered.

Not me,
I got the same price as the 2015 was going for.

A price hike for exactly the same bike sounds pretty lame to me.

I know that my dealer only got 3 Urban Enduros all year. . I suppose it's possible some dealers are gouging for specific models they just aren't getting many of.

Mine (bought on 9/16) has July production date sticker and registered as 2016 so I assume it was from the 1st batch for the model year. My dealer also said no noticeable changes. Paid the 2015 price.

Nope, I'll still get it this year and get through my break in miles before it goes into storage. The only months my bikes hibernate are January and February. If they didn't use so much salt on the roads around me in Wisconsin I'd ride year round.

In Charlotte, NC they have the 2016's in stock right now. However, October 12 or 15th they will increase by $500 and $1000.

I wrote Ducati and got a call this morning from Italy (I live in the US). They said they are not increasing the prices on the Scrambler and that the 2016's are available now with no changes from the 2015's.

Also, they said it was up to the dealers if they wanted to increase or decrease prices, they have heard in the US that dealerships were going to do this, and the way to fight it is by going to another dealership, but Ducati isn't the reason behind the hike. So that tells me dealerships are getting too greedy and are going to ruin a sure thing.

Good to know there is no official price increase, maybe I'll use that to get a few extras on delivery. Either way, I'll be sticking with them as they are only a mile away from home, have an excellent service department, and I get a loaner bike for any extended service. Can't blame a dealer for upping the price a little when every Scrambler they've gotten in has been sold before it arrives.

I don't disagree, but price is a reason people are buying these bikes. I get $500 and $1,000 in the grand scheme of things isn't much, but so many people focus on the $$ amount and not the payment. I just don't like price hikes when their isn't justification, aside from greed.

My dealership is about 10miles away, I need to haggle getting a loaner bike on ext maintenance, glad you mentioned this.

Speaking to a number of dealers - the Scrambler has a much lower profit in it than the rest of the range for the dealers - one of the reasons in the UK there is little to no discounts or freebies with the bikes.

I assume it must be the same in USA and the dealers have decided to increase prices.

Probably is. Their profits will come by new riders using their services and maintenance or upgrading to a more powerful bike.

I think this price hike will sway new riders away and old riders will stay with what they have instead of seeing the long term benefits.

Interesting info. Kudos for reaching out to Duc to see what the official word is. I double checked, and the closest dealer I mentioned has updated their website to read 2016, and all Scrambler prices (none in stock) are up $500.

The dealership I'm working with still lists only 2015 models on their website. Still, they've already given me a firm quote with the original price, and my deposit is paid.

However, infamous waiting game is on. Deposit was paid in Aug for the "September" yellow Icon. Well, we're just now running out of "September," haha.
