2023 Models

Hi - has anyone in the UK ordered a 2023 model - if so what are the likely delivery dates?

Failing that are there any 22 models still around in the dealer network?

Thanks

Yep, placed a deposit on a Nightshift a month back. It was in the dealer‘s initial allocation which they are expecting end of April/start of May.

I take any information with a pinch of salt, but they said that any later factory orders would be September.

Did you get you bike yet?
Nope, not yet. I was the second person to place an order on a Nightshift. They’ve had a despatch notification for the first a couple of weeks ago so mine shouldn’t be far behind.

It seems strange to me that a motorcycle that was introduced 6 months ago and which is quite plain in terms of design, started to be sold so late. Other motorcycle brands deliver the model they introduce to their customers within 3 months at the latest. I also made a prepayment in January and I am still waiting. If it was going to be delivered so late, why was it introduced 6 months ago? The Next-Gen Scrambler Ducati is advertised and toured everywhere, but the bike itself isn't there. It's really weird!
I think with the bigger (Japanese) manufacturers they have a UK importer, dealers put their order in for the year, generally looking to get first delivery ready for March and the bikes get shipped in one go for the whole year? Any bikes left over, not taken by dealers are snapped up later in the year by dealers requiring more than their allocation.

With European, particularly Italian a lot of dealers order direct from the factory, the factory aren’t large enough to run production of multiple models simultaneously so first two weeks of a month they might be building Multistradas, next two might be scramblers and so on, so not all bikes are available at the same time.

I think that’s how it works, that’s what a dealer told me about MV anyways?
I took an Icon out for an hour or so today and really enjoyed it. Enough power for the riding I’m likely to do, and it handles well, with plenty of grip. The screen is very readable in the sun and a big improvement on the older lcd display.

The black doesn‘t do it any favours though, with every other colour looking far better IMO.

Excuse the crappy screenshots from a video, but it has arrived at the dealers. I’ll pick it up in a week once it’s been prepped and registered.

Great news. Exciting times! I was informed mine is due next week in UK for collection the week after.

Which version have you gone for?
Yellow Icon with quick shifter and heated grips. Probably look at an aftermarket pipe in the future.
Nice. That’s one one of the best colours IMO.

Mine has no accessories yet, but I’ll get some added at the first service I expect.
The nightshift colour is cool. I think it looks a lot better when you're next to it, the colour tones get lost in pictures. Enjoy 👍
I am getting mine 30th June, Full Throttle, looking at a couple of accessories , wheels and an exhaust, lumps the price up a bit though!!
