Hi all, my Icon is done 24000km and now it’s due for the DESMO SERVICE. I would like to know what happens in a desmo service and what all parts will be replaced?
The service guys estimated around 600-700USD for desmo service!
Thank you. :)

They check and if needed, adjust the desmo operated valves by replacing shims (they’re not realle shims, but you get the idea). They also replace the belts.

Not a hard job if you’ve done it before, but hard to get to on a Scrambler.

And of course oil, filter, brake fluid, bla the usual

Thanks a lot. :) Okay. But my friend’s Hyper was also quoted the same. I thought the scrambler will be slightly lesser in terms of service cost.
My 12K km service was around 280USD only. This one seems very expensive.

Most time is taking the bike apart, and getting to the valves.

Btw, your friend’s Hyper air or water cooled?
