Was this a kit you bought or did you just rip everything out and put a k&n filter on? I was wondering why no one had done this. Harley's run with exposed cone filters with no problems.

Interesting idea. I would prefer a velocity stack of some sort. Just plug the port from the evap line to prevent an even leaner condition from causing problems.
