Just 2 more sleeps until sunday :).. I found my Renthals in the garage which may be usable later . Its one of those things you have to try at some point so I guess I have to try the rizoma grips so may as well try the fit and ride position. Worst case if not liking is I sell them on to someone who like lower and I could black the originals.

I do like those Renthals, especially in black, I have a pair of Easton tapered tube bars on the Ecosse, very strong bar made from tapered wall alloy tubing, I think the GS ones were similar,
Ok so the call from the dealer just now. Midday tomorrow is pick up time. Just seen the bike on their webpage and one of them's mine. It must be the 3rd one as cannot see a belly plate and expecting it on. Obviously not done the full throttle seat and black side panels either and glad about that too as now want the classic wing on them and not full throttle decals. I will grab some carbon fibre ones for that decal and a set of carbon mudguards too later on. I like my bikes dressing up now and again. A change is always good especially when not permanent.

My dealers not had any of the extras in yet, all on back order, so looks like I'll pick up with no heated grips, really need those, and the tank bag,

Nice pic Albie

Maybe I will just get the stock bike then. I was hoping most of the bits as they can be thrown in the Mini for the journey home.

My missus jumped on the back for a ride down to the river for a drink. She enjoyed it although she said seat was firmer than the Monsters touring one. I also replaced large number plate for an 8 x 6 but you have to cut the bottom of bracket off as it shows and redrill further up. Maybe there are specific country plate size brackets.

I see the Scrambler fits right in at the Yellow Suite in your garage.

I am thinking shall I make my Orange 1977 Yamaha TT500 into a 1978 colour of competition yellow. It needs tank un denting and spraying. Hmmm

So at 09:45 I went out to meet some monster mates and have breakfast and a ride around. Got home at 15:45 so I think I love my bike. I would have stayed out longer but was getting cold and rain was threatening and not cold geared up. I only did about 120 due to the obligatory pitstops and browsing dealers shop but I managed to lessen M ways and dual carriageways pretty well. My 2 mates had a quick go and loved it and full of praise and I was leading the guys and they had to keep catching up. Its a fantastic bike and so happy putting her away in the garage until the next time.
I did hit 3 false neutrals today on down shift but that was lazy riding by me. No other problems or moans and even the seat was good.

Good to know you are enjoying the bike, Albie. Thanks so much for posting the updates, especially glad to hear the seat is tolerable so far.

UKMOC meets Ducati Scrambler.

Result....

1 member test rode one yesterday. Loved it especially the engine

2 members had a little go of mine today. One loves them and wants a red one and the other loved it and would like one as a second bike to the monster he has had for 11 years.

That's great Albie, nice pics, love the American Diner, where's that situated please,
It's in Ashford Kent just off the a28 which heads to Canterbury.
Ok Thanks I'll make a note of that, I have a BMW mate who lives in Ashford he may take me when I next visit the area, :)
