Pragmatically, the benefit is obvious. I can do 80mph under 8000 rpms. You can pull from 80 to 90 or 100 if you need to make a fast maneuver at highway speed. Acceleration just feels a lot better.
Psychologically, it made a big difference. I wanted to start customizing my bike, but I worried that I'd want to get rid of it within another season or two. Getting the 803 Classic solved this problem- not only do I feel free to mod it, I love the stock setup so much that there are fewer things I want to change.
