In reference to another post asking what this was, I too was wondering what this butt-ugly design afterthought was hanging off the side of the motor on my Flat Track Pro. As noted, it's another emission contraption meant to capture gasoline vapors from the tank.
I checked with the local Ducati dealer and he reluctantly told me (California, of course) that it's removal in no way effects any performance.
I want to rip the thing off. Anybody out there remove theirs yet? If so, how do you do it and what do you do with the hoses?
Thanks,
Kent

One hose comes from the gas tank, leave it open as it's an overfill drain tube. Another hose goes to the carb, plug it with a screw or something and secure it in place with a ziptie. Then if I remember correctly the 3rd large hose doesn't go anywhere, just drains below the motor. Then just remove the canister.
