I'm considering one of two used Scramblers: an Urban Enduro with 900 miles, a dart shield, tank and tail bag for $9200 or a classic with 82 miles, a Termgnoni high exhaust, re-map and a Power Commander for $9950. The Enduro is 6 hours away but the owner has offered to deliver it. He sounds like a great guy in talking with him. The Classic is 2 hours away and I'd have to pick it up. The owner is a collector with about 20 bikes. He's selling it through a representative who stores some of his bike and car collection. My concern about the Classic is if the warantee would be honored with the mods that have been made. The low miles and exhaust are appealing, however.
I'd appreciate the thoughts from forum members. Both of these bikes are OTD priced. Which, offers a nice savings on tax and other fees.

Close your eyes and think about whether you want an UE or a Classic, once you've decided on what you want, pull the trigger.

I´d go for the Urban, has more to offer, the Classic has an illegal exhaust thats only for Track, so depending on where you live the bike might not be roadworthy.
Also the 82 miles sounds a bit funny to my mind.

The Termi and re-map done by the dealer, I suppose? Just remove the power commander if you should need warranty work. Make good and sure you can live with that high exhaust, makes it unhandy for luggage and passengers sometimes. The money is so close I'd say just go for the one you want. Good luck, and let us know.

Urban for me, but then I've already got one! Plus it has some nice usable extras, and as pointed out, the high pipe in the classic makes luggage an issue. I guess it boils down to what use you'll give it?

With all these mods, the warranty will certainly not work anymore, but they are removable.

You're going to like the way the engine works better on the Classic with the Termi and fueling changes. And the sound too. I think it's not a great bike for hauling passengers and lots of luggage anyhow.
