I got my Classic rear fender back from the vinyl wrapper today and was able to install it.

I'm quite happy with the results, I'll see how long the wrap lasts. It's sort of an experiment. The wrap only cost me $53.

I really wish Ducati offered a plastic molded fender in the classic shape that was more reasonably priced and bolted right on instead of making you drill another hold in the tail bracket. In my humble opinion this is the fender that should come stock on the bike, but I'm sure others feel differently.

Of course I had to take it out for a ride to "test it", any excuse right?

Great looking bike.
Vynil Wrap?
Maybe it's called foil wrap there, don't know. It's vinyl sheet that is applied to the surface instead of using paint.

I did it this was for 2 reasons, #1 it was cheaper than having it painted, #2 I wanted to test the durability of it vs paint.

If/when the wrap goes bad it can be removed and either rewrapped or painted. The typical quoted life span is about 5 depending on how much time it spends in the sun.

Is this just going over the existing subframe? As in I just buy 56510811AB and slap it on? Because looking it looks like I could get it domestically for $250 or if Im willing to wait maybe save $100. Its really annoying how short the stock one is, youre wearing the entirety of one small puddle.

I need to do something like this and find a hugger faring to protect the suspension. Two really poorly thought out things by Ducati (who am I kidding, they never actually thought we would take these things off road).

I'm running a 2015 Classic I found on ebay for $50, its aluminum and took a little but of finessing to fit, but otherwise no issue to slap on there. Mugello sells a nice plastic kit, they sellout fast but it's a more forgiving alternative if you're taking it offroad and dump the bike.
