Clip-ons size please

Hi,

Anyone know what size of clip-on do I need? I mean at the triple clamp, I find the Rizoma one is too expensive.

Plus, I'll probably buy the rizoma relocation kit. Do I need anything else? Make all cable shorter?

Thank you

I'm doing exactly that at the moment. You need 51mm clip ons and rather than buying the rizoma relocation kit, I'll be chopping the riser...as below.
One thing I also did was re-route the clutch cable so there wasn't such an extreme angle.

Thank you for the link and the idea. Did you take off the triple clamp to install the clip-on? I assumed that you made holes on the clip-on.
I've yet to pick them up.. getting them tomorrow actually. :D
I'm getting ones that look exactly the same from a local vendor and similar in looks to the Mugello ones.. They're hinged so in theory you don't need to remove the triple clamp. At least that's what I'm hoping!! :D

That hinged clip-on is ideal for fickle minded person like myself :p
Let us know how it works out for you :)
That was my reasoning.. In theory it should make life easier. I've got a set of ace bars on at the moment which is fine but the kurling doesn't marry up to the clamp, so I figure i'll just install the clip ons underneath, transfer the controls once I've drilled the locating holes and then remove the bar, chop the clamp and bobs your uncle.
I'll post up a few pics once I get myself sorted ;)
There's a lot of different type of model. Which one fit best (cable lenght, clip-ons touching tank, ...)?

0 degree or 7 degrees?

Which height? 0, 1, 1.5 inches...
Just a follow up.. The 51mm set I installed don't seem to get enough grip on the leg, spinning around and it's torqued down pretty decently, 24nm. I did what a caliper around the leg and to my eyes it seems to measure a bees dick less than 51.. so I'm thinking maybe a 50 might be a better option. Waiting to hear back from the distributor...

On Rizoma technical sheet, it's written 50.7mm
50mm might not be a perfect fit, I can't find clip-on with 50.7mm except rizoma

Not really.. It seems I'd need to take these to a machine shop and get a few tenths taken off to secure them properly. I've decided in the meantime to opt for the hyde m bars.. I've seen a few floating about and i quite like the look.
I'm expecting them sometime this week plus a luimoto cover, I'll post up once they're all installed.

What if it's a well hung bee? HA HA HA HA HA

Why not shim them?
