These are cartridge forks, but terribly cheap ones.

There are springs and oil in both, but the cartridge in the right fork is a "dummy" and does nothing. The Andreani system uses 2 fully functional cartridges, the one controls rebound, the other compression.

These are not damper rod forks - emulators are not an option.

They are just about the worst performing forks I have experienced in many years.

Tony, I see Hyperpro do a progressive fork spring kit.
What are your thoughts?
Any good or a waste of time?

IMO, you could achieve marginal benefit from changing spring type/rate along with adjusting fluid volume - but don't expect miracles. any improvement is likely to be very small, and this is going to be more effective if the rider is on the "light" side.

Changing springs and fiddling with oil will make it possible to realize more comfort, but noticeable performance improvements are probably off the table..

It's a shame these are not damper rod forks, as at least there would be a much cheaper and more effective fix.
