Hi there.
I am an icon owner and want to upgrade my seat. However, I live in New Zealand so parts are hard and expensive to get.
The local auction page has a 2020 desert sled seat at a good price. It looks different and I was curious if it's anymore comfortable or it's just the same seat with a different cover?

I have 2020 DS and have one of those seats in my basement… because it is not comfortable. I went with the Ducati tall seat option and find it to be far better.

If I passed on well priced bike I wanted just because of the seat I would have missed out on a number of wonderful motos and adventures. Easy solutions abound.

Are there any upholstery shops within a reasonable distance to you?
They will have multiple foam padding options and you will be able to try before spending a lot of money. Have them remove the seat cover and the old foam, then simply tape some new foam in place for a few test rides. Once you find the correct combination of high density and low density foams and padding, they can cut it and re-upholster the seat for you.
