Yes, I have one of those. I got it because my new boots were large enough that I needed some more room between the footpeg and the end of the gearchange lever. It works just fine. I have had it on the bike for about 10 thousand miles. Yes, the price is just outrageous!
really expensive parts, a good aftermarket will also cost over $150, Ducati upgrade as above is $165.

I fitted one to my Classic for the same reason as CNorris. Very easy to install, though it only extends the reach by another inch.
Far too expensive. Years ago, it was possible to buy a folding tip which could be welded to a cut-down standard gear pedal: I had one on my TR5T when I was green laning, and dropping it regularly.
