I have only one key and trying to get a duplicate key made for my scrambler Icon. I read somewhere that it has an RF tag that generates a code when inserted. Has anyone tried getting a duplicate key before? Are there any specific shops that do this? I am from SF Bay area.

Did you buy new? If so you should have been given two keys by the dealer. I'm expecting Ducati will sting you for replacement keys?

I bought from a private party and got only one key. I am reading threads where people said that the duplicate key from Ducati costed them around $900.

I had nothing to sort mate - When I picked up the bike from the dealers they gave me two keys one had a tight red sleeve covering the metal part of the key and I was told to not use this one and to just keep it somewhere safe in case I ever needed a replacement or needed it in an emergency.
