Has anyone experienced problems with excessive lash in the driveline?

It appears to be inside the trans/engine. The Cush drive and chain are all good. Before I pull off the side cover to inspect the clutch and primary drive, I wanted to see if there have been any other cases of this.

It could just be an issue with stacked tolerances all the way from the output of the trans back to the primary but it still seems excessive to me, as it becomes and issue when coasting and then shocking the driveline when giving it some throttle.

I don’t think you’re going to find anything. Mine has it too, but describe “excessive”?

Bit of the nature of a bigger twin.

In the canyons I never notice it, only in slow city traffic.

Check the chain tension... I used to have the same issue on an FZ1 - and it was all down to the chain - when adjusted as per manual it had the issue - when a little tighter - no issue at all...

Might not be same here.. but worth a check as its just 5 minutes to adjust then try..
