Can anyone let me know the REAL truth ? , I was told that Ithe Ducuati Scrambler OME aftermarket performance exhaust is the only one,s that will give the bike real increased performance , as it comes with a chip that is tuned to that exhaust by your local Ducati dealer ( this is what I was told by mine ) so by buying aftermarket you cannot get the sports tune because its also a chip ? is this true, I have seen lots of aftermarket performance exhausts on ebay and on this forum with good write ups, but do they deliver the same or better peformance on the standard tune than the Ducati one ? as I cannot see that twice the price is worth the money if it doesent give extra performance.

As I know with triumph the sports tune will cover most exhausts ( because there is no chip )

any assistance please

I read the link ,thanks for that ( there is more than one way to skin a cat ) but no one has answered my questions, does the scrambler have a chip to replace power etc , not just a sports tune on the re mapping on the ECU ? As the Ducati dealer told me this !

Thanks tonyjuliano I was hoping for a straight answer ! , so in other words the dealer is full of crap ,just so he can sell his termo pipe ! Its the same as my Triumph 1050 sport than , they just put a sports tune in the ECU basically than you can put on most aftermarket pipes I guess, So with the Scrambler I just need to get the sports tune ( or Ducati equivalent put in ) but I guess they won't do that unless your running thier pipe ? , hence Anotherhobbys reply to his own equipment tuning stuff ,power commander etc. Ok I get it buy an aftermarket pipe and save about $1000 AUS dollors with the saving get a tune somwhere .
