Will Ducati be providing the various exhaust systems? Can the scrambler be ordered with the desired exhaust?

Found this on the Termi race muffler, it looks to have a small cat-tumor on it.for $1299....hum........

Ducati Scrambler Exhaust Performance
Thanks 62 looks like our selection is somewhat limited I really do like the two raised exhaust retro scrambler look . Keep looking and getting ready for my bike to show up in May.
Thats what I have coming. Says it has a upgrade key. That must be a ecu plug in then maybe. That cat could be eliminated by someone with just a U bend

Hum, "U' bend; Like the way you think. Being smaller it'll be lighter, maybe not all that bad, and the ECU upgrade should help performance and is probably why it's so expensive. Sure sounds good.
Not having looked closely under one, is it possible to remove the cat with a short link pipe? I know a pipe maker and it'd be a nice way to lose a fair chunk of weight.

I doubt very much if the "cat tumour" is any sort of cat at all. More likely a chamber to provide some silencing and maintain the volume of the exhaust system. Cutting it out might be a bad idea.

The cat on the standard exhaust is integrated into the silencer. It would be possible to cut it open, remove the cat element and weld it closed again as some MTS owners have done.
I don't know if that's a cat. It's not technically a street legal exhaust, and if it's rated that way, why would the put money into the precious metals that go into a cat? We will find out soon enough, but I'm betting it's a resonator.

It's listed in the spec sheet as a cat. It's just a question on if you can bypass and remove it, or the whole silencer unit needs replacement?
Looking at this, I think the only way will be a complete silencer change?

Lots of time to play and investigate. Tbh I was going to avoid the terms this shout and get something cheaper but couldn't resist the badge.

Are you referring to the stock one that comes on the bike (except the FT), or the Termi one that 62Yellow posted above. I know the stock one has a cat, and my comment above yours was referring to the Termi one. I assume you are talking about the stock exhaust, but if you are also referring to the Termi one, where is the spec sheet that says it has a cat?

The stock silencer has a built-in cat. The only other one with a cat is the double barrel one for the FT which is also Type-approved: Ducati Scrambler Evo Line Type Approved Silencer 96480671A

Yes I was referring to stock, so I guess we were at cross purposes ;-)
Everything new seems to have a catalytic converter these days. The stock converter looks like a good 5 lbs or more, probably lose a couple pounds on the stock muffler changing to the "Race Termi". I assume it will not hurt the warranty which is a key point, so a little Cat seems like a better deal than a big one to me at this point, plus loosing a few pounds never hurts.
Any ducati sold extra is usually ok to keep warranty valid
Good to know, I even plan on letting my dealer service it, a first for me as I've always worked on my own stuff.
Just had a call to my dealer. Got them to install the Sport line racing silencer before delivery. Will get the installation free of charge. Easier this way, then to do it myself. He was hoping the bike was ready around 21. of March.
don't think anyone has posted this
