Well picked up my Classic today from Motorapido Winchester and apart from a couple of Doh moments all went well , been about 3 yrs since I've rode so to be expected!
Throttle wasn't really a problem , I just slipped the clutch a little, but if I hadn't read about it I would have just done the same really. Suspension, again riden a hardtail for years so just having it was a bonus!
I guess maybe a better quality rear shock would make difference, but unless with two up its completely rubbish it's fine. Same with the front end .
handling was great flickable and enjoyable, even got my toe down on a roundabout.
For me all new bikes could be better one way or another, but the scrambler does what it's supposed to do, which is it brings a smile to my face and makes me want to ride again so job done! Land of joy? Yeah on a sunny day rolling thru Hampshire villages
and that's as technical as I'll get!
Need to sort a rack as hand holds are rubbish for my wife who hasn't been on the back for at least 10 yrs I don't mind her hanging on to me but it'll be a chore ( she never was a good pillion and I doubt if she's any better lol ) all my previous bikes had sissy bars or a top box to keep her on the bike! And she has a habit of falling asleep after a beer at dinner time !
