How's the visibility in these aftermarket mirrors ?
Hey Dirk - they are a nice middle ground between the rizoma eccentricos/stock sports pro mirrors (if visibility is your number one requirement, these are the way to go) I've had and the CRG blindsights. The blindsights I thought looked the coolest, but they were really hard to use as a primary mirror - very small and low in your periphary vision. These motogadgets are a bit smaller than the larger mirrors I've had, but still offer great visibility though. The only knock I have against them is you do have to move your line of sight down more than the bar ends that sit higher to use them. I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Didn't you consider to install these Ducati ones, Sigmund :

I wonder what visibility these offer ?

Dirk - I have had those mirrors before (previously had a scram sport pro), they are fantastic. Very similar to the rizoma eccentricos I've had on another bike as well, and the stock mirrors on my bobber black. I've found them to have the best visibility, when used right side up. Having them hang like in your pic looks cool, but I didn't like that config personally as they are much harder to see and keep your eyes forward.

I went with the motogadgets cause I wanted something a little more low profile/sleek. Good compromise without loss of visibility.

Thanks 4 your reply, Sigmund. That's very useful to me.
Do you think that you can install these original Ducati ones also vertically instead of hanging down like in the pic ?

I really need to get on it, several accessories ready to go on this weekend. More in transit. Also ordered the black low seat but that prob won't come in for a few weeks. Tried plastidipping the sport cowl, def learned some things after a couple failed attempts (mostly due to dripping). Have another can coming, hopefully can get it all sorted this weekend.

Here's the mods I aready did:

  • Termignoni exhaust (full line: silencers and manifolds): great improvement in sound and also a bit more hp & torque
  • Ducati billet aluminium tank cap
  • Ducati billet aluminium number plate holder (tail tidy)
  • Ducati led turn indicators (front and back)
  • Evotech crash protectors

Still on order: Ducati handlebar rearview mirrors ...

QQ for ya Dirk, did you use the adapters for the led’s in the rear? Looking at your pics, not sure. Ordered them but maybe they are only needed for the fronts?

Ok, so I at least installed one part today and finished prepping another. I might wait to do the fairing for when I do my blinkers cause I'm not sure I want to tackle taking the front headlight off myself (I am NOT mechanically inclined haha).

Honestly, I couldn’t really tell, cause I had them installed at the dealer’s …I am not really a technical guy myself I am afraid …

i am very curious to see the result with these fairings. Personally I am considering these carbon fibre ones :
Hah, really similar. Looks like they copied the shape of the OEM fairing and then went in a diff direction on the mount. If I like the look of mine, I’ll prob wind up having it ceramic coated in matte black vs the plastidip. I’ll be throwing it on along with the front/rear indicators when I have my break in service done. Prob next month, for sure will post up when it’s done!

Hey All - picked up a Tribute Pro 3 weeks back, just got my first set of mods done (drag bars, heated grips, CRG bar ends). Have a couple other parts on order, and plans for maybe a few more bits and bobs - mostly excited to just put some miles on this thing. This is replacing an R NINE T, and is actually my second Scrambler 1100. Had a brief stint on a sport pro, which I loved. Aside from the suspension (which is actually quite decent I've found), I think I like this one better!

Anyhow, just popping in to say hi. Looking forward to all the great posts and such on here. Cheers!

Hey Tom...and all others,
I ride a 2018 1100 Sport, and yesterday I've sat on an Italia Independent that uses drag bars similar to the 1100 Sport Pro. I like that position, feels more comfortable to me, but I recognize we're on a smaller frame/bike.
Question: since you and others here had the chance to experience both handlebar styles, on the 1100, how does that affect your position on the bike, and the ride feel?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hey Gio - I love it! I actually didn't mind the standard bars that came on the tribute pro for the first month I had the bike. The drag bars are just a bit further forward but I don't find them too aggressive. Having had a thruxton with the stock clip-ons, I couldn't ride that bike for more than 2-3 hours at a time before being miserable. One thing I like is if I get further back on the seat they can feel a bit more aggresive when I'm hitting the twisties. If I want to be more upright, I can just sit closer to the tank and it's pretty close to stock then.

I've done a few 4-5 hour rides on these without breaking a sweat, bonus that I love the looks of them so much better. Highly recommend them if you want a slightly more forward position and like the look. If you can, maybe find a dealer with a sport pro in stock and take it for a spin.

One small update - ordered the black low seat. It's on backorder so might be a minute before it comes in. Half contemplating to have it custom covered to make it more unique. Pretty much all my parts are in, now just need to get through break in so I can get them all done. Stay tuned!
