My Icon is in for its first service today, and I have a loan bike for the day. Unfortunately I have to work and it's a beautiful day for a ride :-(
I have been loaned a Monster 659. My impressions from a short ride in traffic:
Much better suspension.
Better exhaust sound.

Not the sort of riding position I'd like for around town. Ooh, me wrists. Ooh me back!
Clutch took some getting used to and it takes a lot more revs to pull away cleanly than the Scrambler.
Idiot lights (neutral, turn) hard to see in bright sunlight.

Not a bad bike but probably for a 20-something monkey, not a mature gent like one's self.

I got a a M821 stripe when my Scrambler was in for service. That's one awesome bike! Smooth throttle (in touring mode), comfy seat, nice suspension. And that power and sound! Almost traded mine in when i got back. But still love my little Icon. To bad i only have room for one bike..
The new 821/1200 are much less monkey-like
