Freedom Machine (Moto Geo) handlebars

I was looking at the promo video of this movie by Jamie (Moto Geo) and was really wondering what handlebars does he have installed to the Scrambler in order to make standing up less of a chore.

Anyone have any idea?

If its jamie robinson he's an ex 250 GP road racer, so only about 5 feet tall! No offence intended, he was a real talent.

I'm pretty sure these are Protaper Adventure bars.
Good catch, especially the Adventure High model.
Anyone know anything about his front mudguard? Doesn't look like the one from ducati...
Looks fabbed.

Check Ebay for something suitable?
I'm pretty sure these are Protaper Adventure bars.
Does anyone know if the adventure high rise will fit on my FTP (28mm clamps) without affecting the speedo or necessitating new cables etc.
Here are the details:

Take a look at the specs for the bars, then take a ruler to your bike and see how your bars compare. Do you have a good amount of cable slack? I have ProTaper ATV Hi bars on my bike and have been pleased with them, no problems with the cables or brake line. I filed the locater nubs off the switch housings rather than drill holes in the bars. You've got options galore for handlebars if the Adventures don't suit.

Sarah
Thanks.

It most probably an earlier post by you regarding the atv high bars that I have been looking for for about 2 days now.

How do I find it and mark it for retention.
I don't know, the search function seems really crappy. Most of the bar manufacturers provide a specs chart, so you can compare the various choices. When you sit on your bike, where does your natural reach seem to be?

Thank you for your help Sarah
I am attaching a photo.
I don't know which bars I need.
If possible please could you let me know the following:
What diameter are your clamps and what model is your scrambler?
How do your atv hi bars compare with the adventure hi?

I have a Full Throttle, same clamp as yours. Take a look at this chart comparing the various ProTapers:

ProTaper Handlebars Size Chart

Sit on your bike and with your eyes shut, where do your hands fall when you reach out for your imaginary bars? Is that a good distance from where the bars on your bike actually sit? Do you find you want to hold your fists square, or at an angle? Handlebars take a bit of trial and error sometimes, so buy from a vendor offering easy returns. Do you have a motorcycle shop you can visit that may let you tote some bars out to your bike for comparison?

Sarah
Yes a good distance (2-3 inches) and also narrower.
My fists are straight (which is at an angle to the FTP bars).
Based on that have you any suggestions (printable)?
I will check out the local shops but there aren't many nearby. I am not near any major towns/cities.
How wide are the bars you have now? You'll want something more narrow, so make a note. And if you like your wrists a bit more straight, you'll want a bar with minimal sweep. And we know you'll want one of the higher bars, for sure. Do any of the bars on the chart look like they might fit the bill? Maybe the Adventure Hi, ATV Hi, Pastrana FMX?

Sarah
Hi
Have no motorcycle handlebar shops anywhere near me.
Another option is adjustable risers. Can get a Gilles for a shed load of money. Am looking at one on eBay from China (don't scoff)
Look at this on eBay Universal Motorcycle Adjustable Riser handlebar Higher Extend Adapter FOR 1"/28

I think the problem is they have 50mm risers and 5 adjustments back.
What do you think? How much could you have raised your bars without involving new cables etc?

I very much appreciate the help/time you are giving me Sarah. What time is it there? It's noon here.
A bit after 9:00 am here. I think all the Scramblers share the same cables and brake lines; (not sure about the DS) I added Rox 2" risers with no problem, except the clamp area of the bars blocked my view of the bottom of the speedo display. That was early on and we'd had a few reports of oil pump failures, so I wanted to make certain I could see my oil warning light. Nowadays I might just slap the risers on and ride.

Sarah
Did you change from risers to new bars so that you could see your speedo properly?

Think I will try the risers as I can angle the bars back towards me and will struggle to 'try' different bars.

Will let you know how I get on.

Thanks once again.

Phil
Yes. I have used Rox 2" risers on numerous bikes, I think they're brilliant and worth every penny. They won't help your wrist angle, though. Keep us posted; the Scrambler is worth the trial and error to make it suit, and a good many of us have swapped out the bars, seat, grips, and pegs.
