I've replaced the OEM Ducati brake lever with a CRG brake lever. I can't find a specification for how to set the master cylinder's plunger clearance adjustment, and how much clearance it should have.

I know I can just re-fit the OEM lever and see if I can measure the clearance, then replicate that with the CRG lever's adjustment screw. But is there a spec anywhere that says what it ought to be?

Thanks!

Subbing if you get an answer. Couldn't find one when I did my levers. Rode around with an Allen key in my pocket adjusting till the brake didn't over heat and loose all pressure.

I spoke to the folks at CRG. They told me they set the brake lever up to be very close to the Ducati OEM lever setting and that it shouldn't need much adjustment. I think mine is set with just a hair more free play than the stock one: I might try reducing the clearance by a half turn and see if that causes any problems. It feels good as is, but it definitely engages a bit closer to the bar.
