Oohhhh too much range..... I tryed the bike and i used one finger only to almost stoppie.. It looks you have air indide circuit. Never seen so much range
Front brake - Normal or not?
I'm steadily running the bike in so not braking hard, but had to stop quickly and thought the front brake was pretty poor compared to my other bikes including a 10 year old CBF500.
If I set the adjuster to 4 I can push the lever back to the grip with one finger. I never got a test ride so could someone check theirs to compare?

Yeah, it should have about half that pull. The brake lever on a moto should not hit the grip by a mile.
You should bleed the system if you can, or take it to your shop and have them to it.
Your lever looks like the lever in the video above.

Thanks guys. I'm tempted to bleed it myself as its a pain to take back to the dealer.
I just hope the air is not in the ABS as I think you have to trigger the ABS using the diagnostics to get the air out.

Just in case there is a difference or something special. Just watched the video and there are 3 methods showcased in there, so something is bound to work for you if you want to give it a shot in your garage.
They did not mention anything about the ABS pump acting weird if you have some air in there. Let us know if you have issues, or if the bleed works to fix that spongey brake.
It certainly looks like something isn't right. If taking it back to the dealer is out of the question I think Nick's advice is the way to go.
Shamone--please post back and let us know how this worked out. Take care, can't afford to fool around with crappy brakes.

That does seem bad - I would have thought if it was PDI'd they should have noticed it? Hope you get it sorted okay - I'll be sure to double check mine when it comes!
Ok I've bled the brake and they've improved. Now about 2cm from the grip under firm pressure. I certainly can't push it back to the grip with my thumb as in the video.
I think they are good enough to leave until the first service, where they may say it's normal.
I'll leave it sat with the lever cable tied in case that improved things.
Looking at how the hose loops up at the bars, the master cylinder is lower than this loop. Wondering about taking the master cylinder off the bars to get it higher.

I doubt if air would get trapped in the line there, or certainly no significant amount. The internal diameter of braided hose is only about 2mm. Many bikes have a problem with air trapped at the banjo where that is the highest point but the master cylinder is pretty level on the Scrambler. I reckon that if you turn the bars fully left and push down on the hose any air will move to the master cylinder, being the highest point. A few gentle "jiggles" of the brake lever would encourage the air back up through the reservoir.
I am really glad to hear that you were able to see some improvement with a bleed. I wonder if somehow there is still a little bit of whipped air in the system. I have seen tiny air bubbles caused by the system being worked up into literally a lather. Might be worth the cable tie trick for at least a check.Ok I've bled the brake and they've improved. Definitely tell them to address it at the first service. I don't think you should have any spongey feel in that front brake. Be safe and let us know what they say at the dealer when that comes around.

I think the dealer forgot to fully PDI it as I saw they are delivered with the handle bars disconnected and I've just noticed the cables are not fastened to the handlebars. At least that was a 2 second fix

To be honest I would ring the Ducati breakdown service team, they'd come and collect it and deliver to the dealer, He'd get it sorted and deliver back to you,

On number 4 setting it's 1", On number 1 setting it's 1 3/4",
