I'm a weekend wrencher, looking to get set up with a set of wheel stand \ jacks ('17 Icon).

I'm looking at the Pitbull models. They have a set of arms specific to the scrambler (a plus) and look stout as heck (bigger plus). Not dropping my bike, working alone is an important feature for me. The Pitbull stands are pretty expensive though (again, weekend tinkering only here).

Any reasonably priced, sturdy and secure stands you'd recommend?

I was thinking the same thing, and was looking at this set from Amazon; they got a lot of great reviews. Although I've been working on cars for 20+ years, I'm new to wrenching motorcycles.

I saw those, too. I am also looking at the set from GPI industries, also on Amazon. Hoping for a recommendation from someone here with hands on use or experience.

This works very nicely for storage and working on your bike. Highly recommend.

Could I trouble you for some pics of the hardware that is installed on the bike. I really like this idea, but is there anything permanent on the bike? I can't tell from the website. Thanks!

"This acts as a support for the stand. Just like attaching frame sliders, minus the actual slider. "

@Bikeman ...would installed Frame sliders interfere with this jack? Did you get yours from overseas, or are they available in the US? I really like that!

As far as front and rears, I found this video that puts quality into perspective

I'm looking at the Constands site now. Shipping to the USA is 129euro on top of the price of the stand. Currently running a 25% off special, looking at 325euro all in. For a quality stand that can be moved around this seems like a pretty good deal.

Looks like the stand picks up the two holes above the foot peg, so your slider would be fine (I think).

Update. I cancelled the Constand. The delivery date came and went, and I learned not only had the shipment not been made, the order hadn't even been processed. No communication provided even when it might be. So I cancelled.

In the mean time I stumbled onto Abba stands. I ordered up the front\rear combo unit. Shipped out from the UK the same day I ordered. 3 day express shipping by DHL included (Constands charges 129 euro! for shipping)

Abba stand was delivered today, ordered Monday, UK to Denver, CO door to door in 4 days.

Stand is dead easy to use. I have off-road pegs with 25mm extension arms that drop them and set them aft. The peg on the right clears, no issue, when folded up. I had to remove the one on the left because it clashed a little when folded.

Stand works great and is sturdy enough for my concerns. Only takes a couple minutes to set it up and lift the bike.

I got the front wheel lift arm accessory and fabricated up a little spool piece so I don't have to thread the strap around the swing arm.

$315 shipped. Heck of a deal!

Update: it was bugging the heck out of me why the right side peg would fold up and clear the hard point, and the left peg would not. Turns out the two pegs were not pivoting on the same axis. Left side folded more upward, while the right side folded more rearward. I figured out you can loosen the mounting bolt without removing the main mounting frame bracket. You can just get a 12mm socket and 3\8" drive ratchet in there.

Left side is adjusted now to match the right, and the Abba stand now works without clashing.
