All, I posted similarly in a different section and got no response.

I want to install drag bars similar to what is on the Italia Independent. Does anyone know if these bars from Rizoma will work on the FT without having to shorten cables, buy new brackets/clamps, etc....?

I actually emailed my dealer about the Italia handlebars. They seemed to suggest that there would be no difference:

"The handlebars for the Scrambler Independent are available from Ducati. They are $242.99. Allow about one week for delivery. We also have Rizoma Drag Bars in stock. These appear to be similar if not identical and cost $110.00."

I'm still thinking about it. I love the way they look, but the FT stock look has been growing on me.

has anyone tried these yet? i sat on an italia independent today and the bars and stance it creates is insane i loved it. My bike comes in next week has anyone tired these yet? im looking to immediately switch to either the rizoma drag bar or rizoma conical tapered and the rizoma handle bar riser/gauge relocate kit. Does anyone think that the drag bar will fit with all other stock components and also fit with the rizoma riser/gauge relocate kit?

Hopefully someone can guide me i will take the chance and be the first....thoughts??

By the way, who was the dealer? I think I'm going to give it a shot but would like to talk to someone like your dealer who knows the bike and the bars.

Just found out my new seat is to be complete in two weeks. Need to figure out if I'm going to try the bars out or not.

I am waiting for some kind of answer from someone. I pick up my bike Saturday from the dealer. Once i have it i will take some measurements and call Rizoma/Ducati. I can't find anything online with specs of both bars to match up.

Will i honestly be the first person to try the drag bar?

Listen for $84 im in to test it out im more concerned with one if i can use the gauge relocation risers and how to re-route the cables properly.

Good timing, I'll actually be picking up my rizoma drag bars tomorrow and trying them this week/weekend on my FT. I'll be sure to let you know how they fit!

Uh oh, anything I should be worried about? I figured drilling handelbar holes or cutting off the plastic position pegs should be as complicated as it gets. The FT clamps should fit.

I didn't find anything to necessarily worry about. It would be different if I could find someone with the same set up who posted any info.

The drilling of the holes is a bit of an issue as well.
