Hi,

I'm curious if anyone on the forum has ground off the location pins from the handlebar controls to ease fitment of another set of handlebars.

If so, does grinding these pins off create problems attaching the controls securely?

If there's already a thread regarding this, please let me know.

Hi Jay,

I ground off the pins and used a bit of silicone tape on the bar to act as a shim, the switchgear hasn't wanted to slip at all.

Thanks Sarah. Next time I switch bars, I'll probably take them off.

I moved my bars back, this required the controls to be rotated.On advice in this forum, I ground the pins down so I could rotate them. Have not had any problems.
