This sounds kinda crazy, (no pun intended) but what are all of your opinions? How 'bad' is it for the bike? I want to eventually upgrade the muffler to Akrapovic, but I am waiting for the break in service.

Just ran the bike with no muffler/cat. Didn't actually ride it, just rev'd up to about 6k and it sounded ridiculous..not particularly good in fact. Was kinda fun to try though.

I've always heard that the back pressure made by the muffler is important to proper exhaust flow. Unless it's been adjusted with an ECU flash or Power Commander
