Hopefully not a dumb exhaust question

I have a Classic that's stock in all the places that count. I'm hoping to change that before/during next season. I don't think I'll be going with the Akrapovic slip-on, but would it be possible to use their titanium header with another brand's slip-on? I can't see why it wouldn't work; the Akra slip-on works with the stock pipes, so the titanium header should have the same mounting points. Right?

I'm thinking of going Zard or Comp Werkes, but would really like the titanium pipes.
