So I finally saved up enough for the Termi high pipe to make this thing look like an actual scrambler...plus the Rexxer ECU mod to make it run right. Take it to my local private shop and the guy calls me back an hour later : "Do you know you have to either cut the stock header out from the rear cylinder or drop the motor to remove it?"

OMG. Seriously?

Any alternatives to destroying the stock pipe?

I have heard similar routines- its cheaper and faster, labor wise, to cut the original pipe. Its more labor intensive and therefore more expensive to save the original pipe because they have to drop the engine in some capacity.
