I spoke to my local rep and he said Ducati has not sold out of the Italia Independent's, great news for me since I was going to get an Icon and upgrade it to a similar look / feel, but now it's all in one. They start taking pre-orders in January ($2,000 down and non-refundable) and they would start arriving in late Feb - March, however, he was hesitant on those dates.

Anyone else looking to acquire this Scrambler?

Seat is nice, I was told they would be released late January to early Feb when in the US when I saw the dealer. Just got word it is probably May / June even though they have not sold all of them...Crazy

Just put a deposit yesterday. It seems that Ducati pointed out a certain quantity of this model to each country. Where I live, Spain, 23 units. As far as I know 5 still free to buy. I was also told that here all the models will be delivered at once in April.

I have ordered one in Norway 2 weeks ago, delivery mid April. My local dealer told me if its customer order it may come sooner than just showroom stock.

He was in Cannes France a couple of weeks ago and sent me this. Im not sure if this helped with the wait?

i know they are sold out now.....talking to my dealer a while back. I was the last order he could get...he has 6 of them showing up in Miami come May.

no. I think on average most dealerships were supposed to get 2. My dealer was entitled to 2 but got 3 orders the day they showed the bike at the art show in miami back in october/november, then an addtional 3 with mine in February. There is actually one person that ordered after me and he has to wait to see if there are any sitting at other dealerships. The only option for anyone at this point, is to wait until May, talk to a dealer and have them ask around to see if there are not any already claimed by a buyer. So a dealer can get one, but it may not be reserved and could potentially sit on the showroom floor.

As far as I understood there are a limited number of bikes for each country. For Spain e.g. just 23. In the past with another model it was free ordering and a Japanes company bought nearly half of the stock of the limited edition. I do not remember the model from Ducati. Just to avoid that happening again each country a certain quantity.
