Hey,
I pulled the trigger on the Kriega dual bag mount kit
Kriega Duo Saddlebag Platform For Ducati Scrambler
I like them a lot, they're shaped almost like an old number plate and they come off in about 2 minutes with a torx key.
Anyway, I didn't want to dump a couple hundred bucks on serious bags just yet so I went to my local surplus store and grabbed two of these Serbian army surplus mess kit bags for $8 each. They're 12"W x 10"H x 3"D, so not huge but good enough to put a couple things in, like work shoes and my lunch.
Took a bit of doing with the straps and mounting points, but I figured out a really solid route under the seat and behind the mount plates that can clip off each side in about a minute.
Went for a test ride to Capitol Hill this morning across I-90 and the leading edge flaps juuuuuuust a little bit at high speed, nothing too bad, but there's no rubbing and they stayed put!
I may modify a couple leather pouches to swap out on a wetter day, but for now I really like it.
