Comparing the two bikes, seemingly the same engine and power levels. I like the "little" monster. Wouldn't give up my scrambler for it though. Monster styling is unique, scrambler even more so. I do like the idea of a larger tank, but honestly neither bike is a "touring" machine. I like the more upright seating position of the scrambler. I think both models will sell/continue to sell well. It's a great price point for Italian machinery. I use my bike for blasting country back roads, occasional dirt back roads, and half-assed "for an old man" hooligan fun around town. The monster would do these duties as well, except the dirt roads. I like that Duc is making a few models now for the everyday rider, ducati 62, scrambler 803 (all versions), Monster 797 & 821. We live in exciting times for bikes within reach, not only with ducati, but other MFG's as well. I'm 52 and I refuse to grow up :)
