Yes, that's the oil circuit diagram I was thinking of, an M900 engine though. In that thread the bike was sitting and had lost prime in the pump. My oil pressure light came on in the middle of highway ride, not exactly when I would expect a pump to lose prime.

Nah, that's weird. Only thing I can think of is the valve in the oil pump stuck open... Anyway, there seems to be good info in that thread.

Boroscope revealed heavy damage, smearing and fragments, within the crankcase. Hard to tell but might've been the crank. I've ordered a donor motor and will be replacing it.
