It is if you have a red Icon ;)

Yes the high bars do make you sit like a sail, it's difficult though as for me they put me in a good position and I'm not sure that lower bars would put a bit more pressure on my wrists - some people have changed the bars though so would be interesting to hear if their wind resistance is lower. Trouble is the Scrambler doesn't really lend itself to any sizeable screen which might make a difference, I've had smallish screens on my previous two bikes which did keep the wind off my body but aimed it at my head
Your right, I don't think the Scrambler will lend itself to bigger screens. Plus there is always a trade off with excessive noise. The Ducati screen should have been fitted standard to them all (light smoke) which would have blended in the awful cable routing.

Thing is , it would have put the price of the bike up ;)

And they know we're going to be buying all the bits/accessories , after all they are in business to make money, I think they make more money out of accessories/clothing etc than they make out of bikes,

Well they do out of me  :)
Aye, I think we're all suckers really. The fitting of the screen at production stage wouldn't bump the price up by much, they then could have sold to many of us the graphics to suit the individual bike at £50 instead of a few at £90

I was at Ducati here today in Colorado and they had a bunch of icons in. I'm getting the classic but it has the same high bars as the icon. One guy had some full throttle bars installed on his icon and he said it steered better in the curves. I love they way they look and ordered a set for my classic when it comes in hopefully soon.
I didn't really like the bars when I saw them, a bit too apey. Now that I've ridden it I think the position is quite good for me. So, I have a set of risers and fat bars for a Diavel spare and I'll try them, with the risers being higher and the bars lower maybe the change of height won't be so different.
It will mean re-mounting the clock which I was wanting to do anyway.

Any thoughts on were and how to remount the clock?
keep us posted im thinking of the same on my icon
I'm working on other stuff at the moment but have had a wee look. In the middle of making a tail-tidy with the No. plate lamp under the tail as I don't like the others with it sticking out/up.

One idea is to swop over the lower bar mounts and this would move the clock towards centre instead of out to the right. Though it actually moves it too far and ends up still off centre.
Not as easy as it sounds as the clock mount will interfere with the now right one, remove the extra material to fit. There's also a joining bridge between the two which will need cut to separate them.
The biggest problem is the ignition switch will need re-located. Why Ducati put it there instead of on the tank side I don't know.
Or, add an analogue rev. counter of similar diameter on the left to even things up.
As for me, I think after I've changed the bars&mounts I will make a custom mount for the clock and ignition.

I don't like the loopy cable/hose either. Is there any where down the engine bay area to loose the extra clutch loop ? If not I'll need to shorten it too and I'll probably replace the brake hose with a new braided one.
Yours does look a lot neater or C'leen'r ?.
