499 miles on the odometer now...1st service scheduled for Tuesday.

Did 240 miles yesterday. A shorter ride today to pick up a photo-tag game we play on ADV forum.

Then rode some dirt on the way home. We are bonding nicely!!!

the "tag", now I get to make the next "drop"

This road goes up a hill where it gets pretty rutty but it was an easy task for the Scrambler.
I goosed it a bit on the dirt, to get the rear end sliding around and check out its manners...
ALL IS GOOD! :)

How is the set breaking in? Getting any softer?

I'm still on the 2nd from softest setting on the rear shock. I think things are feeling softer front/rear & seat too.

Although I have not taken off my FreedomAir seat pad since I put it on. I think it is buffering this break-in process.

Interestingly, I did find it noticeably more comfortable doing bumpy dirt than bumpy pavement.
I am off to get the first service/oil change done today.

I am "MojoToot" on ADV & SuperTenere forums "Ogre" everywhere else.

Just got to dealers, belly pan is in, so they are installing that too.

Quite a day. They estimated 3 hours, so I walked for 2 hours then spent a hour in a restaurant. Things were not going well and when I got back, they said maybe another hour.

Finally hit the road it was 72 degrees F but VERY strong & gusty winds were even affecting the 4-wheeled vehicles. Most of the ride was on 55mph roads but I did a short stint on I-80 that's posted at 70mph.

I tucked low and managed to stay on this side of OZ...for a lightweight, the Scrambler does OK.

Temperature dropped to 55* F by the time I got home. It dropped 13*F over one 20 minute period.

At least it didn't rain.

I will have to take some new pictures tomorrow, I'm headed for the Jacuzzi.
What did they hit you up for the service? I'll be due after tomorrow.

$62.63-parts
$135.00-labor

But that was also with installing the belly pan.

That doesn't seem too bad. Bet that hot soak felt good.

Good pics mate, looking forward to seeing more.

The Icon in its current state:

Belly pan is hardly noticeable.

Unless you get down to ground level...

Evap' can' now GONE.

New levers are not flashy but functional.

(I am waiting for the clouds to break & I have an idea for a short GoPro vid.)

The clouds never left today but the forecast for tomorrow looks great...after it warms up (frost warning tonight!).

This is my Rock City Hill Project. I will ride up the paved section and down the dirt section then reverse course back to the start. I will shoot 3 of these round trips on GoPro's extra wide-angle setting. Once aimed forward. Once aimed rearward. Once aimed at rider. Then I will edit parts of the three trips into one video episode.

If all goes well, I will post the final outcome via youtube here.

Front facing & rider facing views were mounted on fork tube...solidly.
Rear facing was on pillion peg & I was nervous about the solidness...thinking of too much other stuff, I forgot to re-zip the tailbag and lost first-aid kit, 12volt mini compressor & a plastic bottle of water. Found the first-aid kit and water pretty easy but couldn't find the air pump. I even watched the video on my phone and thought I knew where it came out.

I figured someone came by, in the interim and picked it up & it was gone for good.

Went home had lunch, went for hike, came back and started to look at my raw video on the computer screen. Then I saw that I had been mistaken and printed out a picture of where the pump went flying.

Went back in the truck and using my picture found the landmark tree and recovered it...all my stuff was intact and still in working order.

DOH! I am a dummy.

Not really. You filmed your stuff and found it. When we were younger if we had cameras in our phones and go pros we would be just now getting out of jail. LOL

Awsome vid Ogre, thanks for sharing! Good thing you were recording, too. Nice recovery.
Great pics and vid - glad you found your stuff! :)

I see you have the Termi - are you finding even with that you still have the snatchy throttle - I was wondering if having the upgrade would smooth things out?
