The standard Sound Bombs are driven by a compressor and require space and wiring. The Sound Bomb Mini is a direct swap for the OEM horn and whilst not the klaxon of the full size versions is way better, cheap and a somple install.
I just purchased the Nautilus compressor Horn for my 1100 sport and will install it over the winter time with a relay. I had one of those at my previous BMW R1200GS and was very satisfied with the sound.... I will post a photo once it is installed.
I have the Denali Sound Bomb Mini on my 2018 DS. Love the honk sound! Its a direct swap like K1W1 said. It camouflages well with the rest of the motorcycle and sits protected flush within coverage of the SW Motech guards, if you have those. Photo attached.
I fitted the stock 2007 4Runner horn to my Desert Sled and it makes my bike sound like a car. Just search on line. It's pretty much a no brainer to mount and wire.
Yesterday I installed the Strebel Nautilus at my Scrambler 1100 Sport. I am running it with a separate relais under the seat which is driven by the original wiring - power comes from the battery with 2,5mm² cables. I installed it on the left side at the same place like the original horn. The sound is blasting - this is exact what the expression "horn" is about. Loud enough to show "I am here"..... - hopefully I don't need it too often in future!
Have a good change into 2021!
Best Regards from Switzerland
Kurt
