Just wondering if its possible to modify the standard Icon seat base into one of the aftermarket flat "bench" type? I have purchased a comfort seat to use and have the original to play with but I don't want to strip off the cover, foam and butcher it if its not possible.
I understand I will have to make up some side or infill panels to use with a flat seat and I'm quite happy to make my own.
Another idea was to make a single seat for the front and maybe a false seat storage container for the rear with a lid to hide a security chain or wet weather gear.

I bought a Mustang seat and had the Classic seat successfully modified by SaddleCraft. The Mustang is for solo riding, the SaddleCraft for two-up when the warm weather arrives.
