I'm intending to fit something with a more aggressive pattern for Morocco next year. Although some way off I wouldn't mind fitting a set a few months early to get some off road use first.
I'm not sure the 70 will be any better than the stock Pirelli off road? Compared to the 80, this is a road biased tyre. From what I've found the 80 isn't available in the stock 18" front size, you need to use a rear tyre on the front :-(
