Mugello Problems...

12280 Views 14 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  FGW14
So, I ordered a seat and side panels weeks ago from Mugello in Bangkok. They had been super responsive and had no problems until a few weeks ago.

They let me know of a delay, then their responses were sporadic. Now, they haven't responded to my last two emails.

Anyone have any insight as to what is going on?

I emailed them 13 July inquiring about ordering a seat and side panels, after a painfully long ordering process I finally sent payment on 25 July. Anytime I emailed them I have to resend the email 2 or 3 times before they respond. After a lot of unanswered emails and excuses, Mr. Sittimat on 24 September said that it would be shipping the following week and I'd be receiving a tracking number by the 29th. The 29th comes and goes, nothing. I emailed him a few more times asking what the deal was and finally, on October 6th I FINALLY got the tracking info and it has indeed shipped.

Hopefully your exsperiance isn't as long and painful as mine. All I can say is resend each email everyday until he responds.
Why that guy doesn't just set up an online shop to order from directly or hock his wares on Ebay at least is beyond me. Would have a lot more customers if he did. I would order too, but I'd rather have some modicum of exchange / return / guarantee I'm getting a quality product. Anyway hope you guys get your stuff soon.

Yeah, your experience is almost the exact same as mine. I posted a FB comment to one of their pictures showing my seat. I then followed up with a FB message to Sittimat. He was very responsive to that. He assured me that delivery (3rd date given to me) will occur this Thursday.

We shall see.

I agree completely. I told him I won't be ordering anything else from them until they have some sort of website.
Well on the plus side, he posted a picture of my seat before it got sent out.

Hey guys here is my 2 cents on Mugello. I wanted to order a seat from them last year as well and wasn't sure if I would get it at all. Then on my trip to Thailand I went to see their shop and get it from there.
Upon arriving there I realised why they don't have a web site. They are actually a small father and son shop. Sittimat is the son of the owner and he has a brother working there as well.
I went there to actually get the seat and leave however they don't have anything ready in the shop. They actually manufacture it (or have someone else do it for them) some other place. As far as I can gather they have to have enough orders for the manufacturing to start, and they get them back in batches. That is why ( at least my theory of why) they might be late sometimes.
But like I said after seeing their shop and meeting them you can be sure they are a trustworthy small establishment.

Hope this helps answering some of your questions.

I appreciate the response. I get that they are a small shop...I really do.

However, he gave me two previous completion dates that they've missed. Keep in mind that these were not requested with any pressure at all, but were dates volunteered by the shop as their commitment for completion. At the end of the day, as long as the seat/panels are what I think they'll be, I don't really care.

I honestly feared that the company went belly up or something, hence my original query.

thx,

Dave

Looks awesome.

Here's mine (left - black). I think it's next to yours.

Could be, although I don't see the stitching on mine.
Also, does anyone know how to remove the yellow stripe on the front fender? I removed mine and it left a shiny residue that seems hard to come off. The side decals on the tank were easy.

Appreciated,

Dave

*edit - never mind, it appears that the sticker comes off easily, but the guard seems to be molded where the sticker goes.
Does anyone have an email or actual phone number to someone that speaks english so I can place an order. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anytime I call the number from the FB page, I get someone who gives me a new number which happens to be 1 digit short. Am I missing something?
