Huge surprise today. Got a call from dealer that 3 new scramblers came in and my classic is one of them. They were not expecting it either. went I saw the bike charging her tonight, will bring her home tomorrow.

Super excited.

Look forward to hearing what you think :)
Any sleep? Congratulations!

Sarah
Got my hands on the bike today.
Sarah, no I did not sleep well neither did I rest today. Already made it to 70 miles. I am waiting for 600miles to be done.

Eltoro, it's every bit as good as the reviews say. Fun to ride. I am having trouble keeping it below 60000rpm. Throttle response is sudden indeed but my old bike is a cb360 so I am not used to it. But by evening I could control it better.
seat could have been slightly wider in front and a little softer but definitely I was more comfortable by evening.
at low speeds front end dives with touch of brakes but again it's adjusting to new bike. At speed it corners great no dive at all. No complaints with suspension it does transfer every road bump to seat I am OK with the compromise for the handling.
I am surprised by the amount of heat though. If I slow down or stop for few sec it feels my legs are close to near a bonfire. In afternoon Seat did get hot but nothing bad.

Overall I love the looks. I am 5'10 and it feels big enough for me. I like less noise from exhaust so I do like stock exhaust. Only reason to change would be for weight savings.

One thing I do not like are the hand grips. They are tiny hurting my hand to hold them.

Now I need a tank bag any suggestions!

Sounds like you've had a great day, thanks for the report. You may have to study a while on tank bags, options galore. Same way with grips, but in the meantime you might try a simple set of grip covers that slide over the factory grips:
Amazon.com Grab On Grips Grip Cover - Fits From 1.25in. to 1.45in. OD - 5in.L Color Black MC402 Automotive

Sarah
These might be the exact thing till I decide on proper grips. Thanks Sarah.
Yes the grips hurt my hands, well the throttle side anyway.
I cut the waffle off with a scalpel and it has cured the problem.
But I have seen someone on here with some lovely brown grips with a quilt pattern that I will eventually get.
Those lovely brown vintage look grips with quilt pattern are Biltwell Thruster grips. They are cheap too.

Congrats! I am also coming from a cb360 to a Classic. The difference in power and throttle response is amazing. Been about two weeks now and still loving it more. Can't wait to pass the break in period.

TO ! welcome to the forum, good to have you along
Welcome :)
Have biltwell thrusters on order, it sounds like your own grips are on upside down like mine look underneath you'll see smooth part with Ducati on that should be under your Palm!! They come off easy enough not glued just need loosening carefully with a thin long electricians screw driver or maybe got water will do it!
