Then on the 23-25 Oct 15 , will be off on first ride over 200kms of dirt road and 100 of black top twisties mostly ! The bike is being delivered with a Varatra rack , will be taking camping gear etc and off to a Horizons Unlimited -HU meeting in Marysville Victoria Australia ( were the bush fires happened a some years agò when there was about 160 people killed ) HU is an Adventure motorcycle travelers get together, mostly alot of 1200gs BMW,s ( with all gear and no idea ) will show them a bike that will go most places a GS will go , maybe more as its not as BIG or HEAVY ! and cooler to , As a wise Adventure travler once said no one complaints about smaller and lighter just bigger and heavier ! , Return trip is also about 300kms Tar roads and some freeway riding. Are going with two great mates they will be on there trustie Suzuki V-Strom 650,s.

Thanks guys , Im looking foward to it, I went last year on my Tiger 1050 sport ,it was held about 700kms from my place near Halls Cap ( not far from the South Australian boarder and Great Ocean road in Victoria ) that meeting had about 80% 1200GS, 10 % 650 and 800 GS , the rest was made up of Tigers, Suzuki DL650,s and 2 KTM 990,s SMT that are currantly riding around the world. I got my TS pretty decked out with hand guards ,12v sockets, bash plate , crash bars etc etc , Will be good to put a Ducati in the Mix ( and are not like thd rest of the sheep ) will be decking out the Urban Enduro with hand guards crash bars and wider pegs from SM-Moto and the Dart screen that looks really cool , + heated grips eventually up grade Suspension ! But all cost money and are going out on a limb to guy the Scrambler as is. Any ideas for mods from fello owners would be great .

Thats cool good to hear from another Adventure traveler, I think the UE will surprise alot of riders ,for one its light ,good power, not to compcatied, can do off- road quite well " Ducati really hit the spot with the Scrambler, excellent for short and female riders ! I cannot wait to pick mine up , The only real down side to the Scramblers is the Tank size , I have a colaspable fuel bladder it holds 3,5 litres so this gives me 17 lt tank range ( around 300kms or so )

I also go on the Hubb site and did the Morocco HUMM this May just gone. We even came second in class ! Those GS riders put their money where their mouth is.Some of the terrain was really difficult and they crashed a fair bit but lugged them back up and carried on. Top blokes. I think my Scrambler would've shaken to bits in the rocky sections to be honest. I took my little KTM, but I did ride all the way to the event off road, there and back.

Best of Luck to you. I picked up my Urban Enduro last Friday and went on a decent trip on Saturday (about 80 miles). My best advice to you, take some brakes on your 200 km trip, the seat is very stiff. That's my only complaint about the bike, otherwise I love it.
Looking forward to seeing the photos of your trip.

I've also got an extra strap on fuel tank for Morocco, but might even go for a flat 10 litre can across the seat to get the range equal with the others I'll be with. I find the seat no problem at all, in fact quite comfy! The suspension could do with work for off road though. I'm sticking some knobblies on mine, as the whole group will be on the same tyres so we will all be hindered on the road sections :) I love mine, it's a great bike :)

Good to hear from fellow HU riders, I think the Scrambler EU will supprise alot off the TO BIG TO HEAVY Adventure riders, like the GS- All , Tigers 1200 and 800, Moto Guzzi1200 NVX ,Aprillia 1200 Yamaha 1200 and 650 Tenera, KTM 1290,1150 and 1050 ( Basically the all to big ,to heavy or to gutless and uncomfortable Adventure motorcycles )
I personally think its a great bike for most road conditions, its the bike Iv been waiting for and someone has finally build it ! ( and being Ducati what a name ) let me know what trips you guys have done and your options on good points bad ponits , any common problems that may be a issue etc
I prefer reading your options for the owner ( as you will give honest feedbwck ) unlike alot of mags that if they bag out a bike to much they may not get others to test .
