My precious ;)

Picked Red Icon up this morning. Had to go straight to a meeting and then head home but I managed to stick country lanes and had a blast.

Throttle seems ok and better then the test ride bike. Seat seems fine to me and I like the position of the bars which work well for my elbow that has pins and a plate. Mirrors are perfect and need no adjusting and give a good rear view.I kept it below 6k revs but enjoyed the brisk acceleration in short bursts as I believe in not babying a bike when new and never had a problem in the past. Bike feels planted in bends and I like the grip the tires give.

The suspension really gave me a battering on poor country lanes and my brain was rattled a bit. I think it is the front that's the culprit but am clueless with suspension so need to pay better attention. None the less I love this bike and am prepared to sort out suspension as the bike is a keeper.

Got home and found the R&G paddock bobbins and the frame plugs (16 quid for 2 plugs is not bad) both that I ordered 2 days ago so they are now on the bike. The crash bungs will do the job but the left one sticks out too far
... the engine guard looks good to my eyes and offers some protection against stones to the underside. Dealer had already removed all the frame stickers and just kept the one regarding chain adjustment.

Strange reg plate ;)
Excellent Tony. I dropped in to see Mike early afternoon but you had already been. We must catch up soon.

Sure thing Simon :)

Did you show him your bike? I told him it was looking well nice
Can you post a pic of the Evotech engine guard fitted?
Congrats! It's fun when you finally get your own Scrambler after obsessing for so long. :)

Thanks Tony. That looks ok. I didn't want the Ducati one. Easy to fit?

Mike did it but apparently it is a 10 min job so you will be fine. If you oredr through Mike should get a discount

Will have a think about that one. Already spent too much today. Note to self: don't go to the dealer and keep off eBay!

Come on what did you buy?

A nice pair of Scrambler leather gloves and the billet sprocket cover. I also ordered a billet headlight surround.

Nice! Your bike is soooo spoilt :)
You know it. I'm waiting on a load of R&G stuff to arrive. Once I have all those bits the only other items I would like are the Ducati heated grips, a Nitron Shock and possibly a gear indicator.
I swopped my tail tidy with Mike (as I didn't get an icon in the end) and he'll give me a full throttle one, once it's been developed in exchange.
Just wanted to add a few things. I have no problems seeing the rev counter as some have said. I find the gearbox very smooth and have had no false neutrals today.

Gear indicator sounds good and if only I had a 3d printer I could draw up some neat 3d dimensional holder that could attach to side of speedo
I too would appreciate a gear indicator. I have come to the point that in my head I count the gears since I have looked for seventh gear more times then I can remember :) I see you also bought the fastest color as well, well done!
