So far I've had the panels powder coated textured black, seat lowered and a gel pad inserted, and Evotech crash bobbins. Here are some pics of it up to today, particularly for those who may want to see how far the bobbins stick out! They are pretty large but I think I will get used to them (they make the bike look a bit wider lol), at least they should do the job in the unfortunate event of a lay down!

Nice littleowl, power coating looks great.

I'm really pleased with it, it matches the black plastics and so far seems way more hard wearing than the original panels where my trousers rub . And if it gets rubbed again I can always do something else!

Watch this space because I forked out £145 for black panels. Hope they last me. You may well be the winner. Well you are actually as powdercoat costs less. I need to devise interchange panels without badge unsticking.

I put my badges back with velcro, and the panels cost me £30

Further update on my bike - it's got powder coated panels, lowered seat with gel pad inserted, Evotech crash bobbins, Nitron shock, Chinese adjustable levers (eBay), Dart screen, exhaust shield painted with VHT paint (only down side is I think it will be very prone to scratches). Think that's it now except for some kind of luggage rack - haven't yet decided whether to go for panniers or rear rack. Will update when I have them!

Looks good littleowl. Do you notice a difference with the screen?

Yes definitely - enough to warrant the slight detraction from looks! I went up to 110 mph on the bypass without it and was nearly blown off the back. Went up to 111mph at the weekend, and it was comfortable - the only downside is that it diverts the wind to my head area, which increases the noise a fair bit so earplugs are a must on any trip.
