Pete!

Very cool. I just put a deposit down on a Classic as well. I owned a 900SS and a 998. I have been looking around for the last few years, and no new bikes really grabbed my attention. Instead, I've been fooling around with some older rides. The new Ducati broke cover the day before my birthday, and I have to say it looks even better to me than the Triumph. Better handling and more power, and so another Ducati on the way. I feel like I've come home again, lol!

I was at my dealer this afternoon when a classic was being delivered, god it's gorgeous, very tempted to change my order from a red icon for one of these, just don't want to wait any longer.
I'll wait! I mean it's 3 days now and still no mention of the delivery lol !

Don't compromise, if the Classic gave you the goosies then it has to be a Classic. You'll always regret it if you don't.

Was this in the US or UK?, Ive been hoping Classics would start rolling into the US soon, That's what I have ordered
Hi nicolas and Hui sorry it was in the UK but you wont be disappointed looks outstanding in the flesh, pics don't do it justice. I am very tempted but will put my own mark on the icon, it would be a different story if my icon wasn't due any day (I live in hope)

It's just a pity that Ducati decided to stagger the supply. I think it would have been much better if all the bikes were supplied at the same time.
There must be quite a few owners of the Icon's who would have preferred one of the others but were not willing to wait. It also has the snobbery effect with the un-educated that some have a lesser model due to price. Ducati should've made them all the same price, ie. upped the Icon and reduced the others to somewhere in the middle. This coupled with same date release would have meant everybody would have the one they wanted and not the one they could get soonest.

To be honest I've not seen anything to suggest snobbery on this forum but I have seen it on other Ducati model forums.
I actually had it personally when I bought a red Diavel, when I suggested I wasn't a fan of carbon therefor didn't buy a carbon model. The Guy said I was bitter because I couldn't afford the more expensive one. He soon shut his face when he learnt that I had bought two. (Prick)

Woods had two Classics in Yesterday when i visited, very nice too, first ones I've seen, :) They also had 5 Icons, and an Urban Enduro,

Think I would have still bought the Icon, but at the time The Icon was a very short delivery, ;) Mine will end up having a little bit of all models on it, bit of a Mongrel

They are meant to be a bit of a mongrel. That's the whole point ;)
