Everything I had hoped for and more. The construction is very well done and the design and shape really look great. The comfort is amazing and the way the seat is sculpted gives it a nice "backrest" feeling that I personally like. Haven't had anyone on back yet but I normally don't so not too concerned there.

Best improvement I have made so far.

You won't be sorry, personally I've had rotten luck with previous Corbin products so I personally stay away from them. But having had more than one Mustang product over the years I have been very happy with both their product and their comfort unlike Corbin.

I hope, and expect, the Mustang to be as good as you say it is.
My first Corbin was bought in 1988 ( for a Transalp) and I have had three others since, all of which I found comfortable, especially the Gunfighter and Lady I had on my 900SS. They have always been expensive over here, but the price asked for the new G & L for the Scrambler is far too high.
Both the AA and I prefer the look of the Corbin, which is $452, as against $329 for the Mustang: I do not understand why I can buy the latter for under £300 (although delighted that I can) when the Corbin importer wants £525. I accept that premium products - and I put Corbin in that category - demand premium prices, but there are limits, when the sniff of overcharging is in the air.
In the meantime, when the weather improves and opportunity presents, I shall try my economical ( cheapskate, you call it ) option of riding the Classic wearing cycling gel shorts under my usual motorcycling trousers, as an alternative to a gel insert.

Went on a relatively longer ride yesterday while the weather behaved, a bit over an hour and a half and was completely comfortable at the end. As far as I am concerned this is all I ask from any seat since after that a stretch and gas is coming close anyway.

Pulled the trigger and bought a Mustang seat yesterday. Got an email this morning that it is backordered and should ship in 3 to 4 weeks.

Guess its popular.
You may be surprised as I was. Mine arrived a couple of weeks after ordering and I received that same notice. Love my Mustang seat as well was not disappointed one bit.

Here is my UE with the Mustang seat installed. I found that the Mustang seat was very comfortable. I didn't really understand what people meant when they said that they didn't know where to sit on the stock seat until I sat on the new seat. It makes you feel more attached to the bike, if that makes sense to anyone. I also recently painted my heat shield and silencer black, will be doing the skid plate next. I am using Rustoleum High Heat matte black paint, 2 coats.

Mjhallock - Don't know who you ordered from, but I ordered mine from West End Motorsports and it arrived in 4 days, only $296 and free shipping.
Badashell:
I had bought it directly from Mustang Seats. Since it was backordered I cancelled the order and bought it from West End Motorsports. Ordered on Friday and it showed up today, Monday.

Plus with shipping costs from Mustang direct the price was $352.17 and West End was $296.10 with free shipping. A savings of $56.07.

Thanks for the tip.

I haven't gone riding as I have a busy day today, but I swapped the seats out and it feels great just sitting on it.

Yeah, he did a really good job. In one of the Mustangs discussions on this board or the other one there are some closer up pictures of the mounts that were custom made. I can find similar bags but not sure how to start on the standoffs.
I did something similar, pics are not great, but you get the idea ;)
Used austrian military nylon bag that has the possibility to be attached to belt. (6€ from local military shop, used, but in good shape)
Remove the belt clamps from the bag and there is approx 2cm wide strap that those little hooks go to. They are also a little offset to make it easier to slide the bag and to have better clearance..
Good idea is to bend and rivet square shape from aluminum sheet inside so the bags hold shape and do not look like mine on the picture when test fitted..
Painted one set black with spray paint for fabrics (olive green looks better on UE though). I also cut the botom straps from the painted pair, just so that I dont have anything hanging from the bags that is close to the wheel..
