Hey guys,

First time rider here! Just took delivery of my new '16 Icon in Ducati Red. Also just completed the MSF two day beginner course over the weekend. The course was a great experience, very glad I took the time to take it. I really like the Scrambler so far. I almost bought the 400cc version, but I figured I'd end up with an 800 anyways so I didn't bother. The bike isn't intimidating to me, but it certainly has more power than I can handle right now. I I have to say I find it easier to ride than the old carbureted Honda 250 I trained on which had a very sticky throttle.

Anyways I couldn't be happier with my purchase and decision to become a rider. I plan to make many modifications to the bike in the future.

Welcome and love the color coordination!

MSF bikes get pretty beat up... hence issues like a sticky throttle. Had a friend who took the MSF course only for some other student to take her bike because his was sticky. She wasn't too thrilled about it. But congrats! Ride safe!

Sorry to revive an old thread.

I am a beginner with no experience.

I am considering to purchase the Ducati Scrambler Icon 2020.

Is this a good idea?

Hoping to hear from everyone and the OP especially since he was a beginner rider when he got his Icon.
