Ducati Scrambler

I was hoping the new 'Cafe Racer' Scrambler might mean a few new parts I could swap onto my Full Throttle... making it a little racier.

But no... the new clip on bars require a new brake master cylinder and instead of releasing the Diablo Rosso tyres in our size, Ducati have just stuck a 17" wheel on there. Thanks!

Sure, I could still get both but just buying some new bars and tyres would have been nice. Not a new master cylinder and front wheel... will cost a fortune.

Even the new seat and cowl means I'd have to buy the new side panels, with those stupid number boards!

For a bike that was sold on it's customisable interchangeable parts, the very first upgrades see them introduce fragmentation and a whole bunch of bits that I can't fit to mine, without spending serious money.

I really wish Triumph and BMW would do versions of the Thruxton and RnineT without heavy spoked wheels and annoying inner tubes. I might have to look elsewhere if Ducati don't intend to introduce a higher performing Scrambler.

Very hard to disagree with that Josh, in saying that it is exactly what I was expecting and I'm sure it will be very popular with the 'Motobanker' set.

That desert sled though!! I'd definitely have that as a second / alternative bike.

The DS actually has some interesting upgrades. I don't ride off road but if I was going to, that kind of money could buy one hell of a proper dual sport, would weigh significantly less and handle much better off road. Maybe not look or sound as good though...

At least the 19" front is spoked...don't know if it can be easily transplanted to Classic and if so, how much $$$

Not many 18" radials to pair up with the 17" rear. Sure hope Pirelli doesn't alter MT60RS production.

803 A/C MultiStrada would have eliminated need for DS & 950 MS imo

iiirc the BMW R nine T Racer has non tubed wheels and a sweet cafe look
I like the Racer and the Pure but the conventional forks and weaker brakes just look a bit naff. I'm sure they work perfectly fine, just looks a bit cheap. The sub class of RnineT is cheaper than the original one yeah, but still expensive bikes and I'd expect a bit better.

Hi, I am interested in th CRacer seat, preferably with black leather, to put on my Icon, although I am not keen on the side panel. Why do you feel the side panel is needed for this seat?

Also, when wil these parts be available for purchase?

I'm right there with you. I really want that seat. Anyone know what it it takes or how to get it? And I absolutely would not want that number panel.
