Yes, the standard suspension is crappy. Already converted the front end to Andreani/Öhlins and it really made a huge difference. I just returned from a 3.000km round trip to the Dolomites and it really was a blast thanks to the smoother front end...
Anyway, what I find superior over the Öhlins shock is a.) that the sping is chosen and the shock setup to your individual needs like riders weight and if you want it for solo or pillion and b.) for the Looks - this one w/ the optional black spring would to me be far more attractive than the Öhlins silver body / yellow spring on the Urban Enduro... Tec Specs look promising, too: Technical Spec

Maybe I sleep it over and then cancel the Öhlins and add the SW-Motech Adjustable Foot Rest Kit to the order, pricewise about the same for shock and pegs as compared to just the Öhlins shock (excl. shipping)... ;-)

For my Ohlins order I was asked weight details, rider, pillion, luggage, riding style, the usual detail required to set the shock and spring up for the individual rider, I'm hoping it's setup.
I agree on the colour for the UE, the Ohlins will be ok on my yellow icon I think.
There are a couple of people on here who are very happy with the cartridges, I may get a pair after I get the shock sorted.

I've fitted a pair of the SW Motech footpegs, the issue they've created for me is that they've reduced the space between peg and gear lever and it's awkward to go up a gear. When I first got the bike I lifted the gear lever one tooth on the spline, I'm going to do that again to see if it helps. I have size 12 or 13 feet depending upon which country the shoes come from.
They're a great peg, very well made, they've just created a less than ideal situation.
Odd - I were not asked any details for seting up the Öhlins and to me it appears as if they will be sold right off the shelf setup for "the average Joe", whatever they have on their mind the average Joe is... ;-) The DU 505 seems to be a springoff off their more basic budget production line STX46... According to the mounting instructions Document - hlins Racing it will be fully servicable and of course the springs can be exchanged to fit your needs. Regarding the looks it will surely fit the yellow Icon very well!

Anyway, feeling more comfortable with the customized solution and supporting a symphatic startup I just canceled my Öhlins order and special ordered the M-Shock with a black spring. Hopefully they get it right, will keep you posted!

About the pegs: Great feedback Smifff! I recently ordered them and will have a close look @ the issues you mentioned! Have a size 9.5 (43) foot, so maybe I get away with it... What attracted me was the ability to lower or raise them and that you have a much wider, rubberized area to put your foot on - I get up from the seat on long trips or gravel quite often and felt uncomfy on the tiny foot - "pins"... ;-)

Scramblizer, I watched the Ducati Techs set up a suspension for sag on a Panigale R when I was at the shop a few weeks ago. I saw (and filmed) the whole process for a video that I will produce in the coming weeks. They are probably tuning Smifff's suspension for him as a service. If you ordered them, as opposed to bought them from a shop, they will not be able to set sag on the shocks off of the bike. This might be the difference.
Thanks Nick, may be. Curious to watch the movie! :)
