i put a Nitron shock on my F T last week and it's totally transformed the ride and handling. I've been riding for 51 years and this is the best mod I've ever done. For anyone apprehensive about doing it themselves, let me assure you it's easy. I have only medium mechanical skills with very limited tools and I managed it!

Don't expect much from Nitron though. I placed my order and received an automatic response email. After 10 days I emailed them to ask what was happening and got a reply saying that it normally takes 2 to 3 weeks for delivery! It would have been good to have been told that at the beginning, especially as they debited my credit card as soon as I placed the order. Get into the 21st century Nitron.

They communicated well with me, though admittedly I ordered mine as soon as I got the bike almost two years ago.

I have the R2, totally worth every penny. I haven't swapped out the front suspension yet, but I haven't really felt the need compared to the rear.

Thanks. I ask because I am considering the Ikon mainly because they are made here in Australia. Not that I think they are better just rather not deal internationally. Anyway the Ikon has a similar combined rebound setup and was wondering if this was enough rather than the extra expense of higher end setups.

I'm no expert so read around but I'm guessing ANYTHING will be a marked improvement on the stock shock!
