I can't say anything about compatibility with our bikes, but I've had the Actron CP9135 OBDII AutoScanner for over a decade and its still going strong. It reads and resets codes. The caveat is that these "generic" scanners will only give general codes that shed some light on the problem but you'll have to figure out whats speficially wrong with your vehicle.

For example, if you have a faulty ignition coil, the scanner might give a "P0303: Cylinder 3 Misfire". You'll then have to troubleshoot the spark plug, coil, etc and eventually reach the culprit. A high end scanner made specifically for you vehicle will take out the guesswork, but you'll pay for it upfront.

That T-Mart you posted looks decent, even better than the Actron I recommended. Cant say anything about its durability though, since I've never had one.
My dad has one so I figured I'd try it but the adapter is still $50 so I'm hoping someone recommends something that works well with our bikes and I can just buy that too.

Thanks for your reply.

I've got a 2019 DS and no issues yet. I also have an OBD2 scanner that I use for my 911. Was considering purchasing the adapter.

Anyone have updated or recent experience with resetting CELs or diagnostics? Is the Scrambler 4pin adapter the same as used throughout the Ducati product line?

Cheers!

I have yet to reset my service/wrench/desmo dash indicators but I'm pretty sure JpDiag now works on our bikes to reset those. So any obdII and the ducati specific adapter. Then go to JpDiag Ducati Scrambler, just search this, download the software and follow the instructions he provides.

Once you're done, share your experience/troubleshooting etc.

Old thread but cant hurt to follow up. FYI the specific piece of his software you are going to want is the Melcodiag one. Make sure and "run as admin," after you launch it make sure and switch from "any bike" to m3c. Get your license. Then once the software is licensed do the reset option, I had to click it twice before it took.

here is the ODBC cable needed for the modern connection https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08887TNBB?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details. And then you need the 4 pin adapter.

Getting to this thread pretty late, but going to be making a main post.

I believe the Scrambler can only use the Melcodiag software - and I don't believe that is capable for clearing DTCs, I will check tomorrow though. I have been using the cables linked below (self-plug, sorry..I saw some confusion on jpdiag regarding cables so I sourced a handful that work) for MelcoDiag to reset my service lights / resetting various sensors.
